Chasing Light
Welcome. This is where I share my work and also the work of others, those that inspire me, the weird, the great, the unusual.
It is a goddamn marvel this life. Take a look.
Tondo, Manila | Why I Shoot in Slums
When I travel, I am drawn to the poor areas, those people on the fringe, the disenfranchised. And beautiful women. A weird contrast, I know, but there has never been an agenda. I just go where my feet lead me and to what attracts me.
I do shoot the underprivileged a lot and I find myself questioning this periodically.

As the owner of a photo studio rental in Saint Petersburg told me, Russia is filled with beautiful women who want their photo taken.

Delhi | The Family Living in the Tree
I was walking through the chaotic streets and met a family living in a tree on a tiny strip of grass in the middle of a busy intersection.
I was on my way to a big slum to spend the day shooting and spent a few minutes with theses people, beautiful and generous and shy.

Sometimes I have to go through a lot of film to get an idea.
I’ll show up in a city or meet with a model, and I need to warm up with exposing some frames, trying ideas out, taking chances, bringing out the old tricks. It would be amazing to show up and to have fully formed, fantastic ideas, all ready to go, from frame 1.
Ukraine | The Village Widow
I met this widow in a Ukrainian village. She was terrifically strong. Physically, mentally, emotionally.
