Istanbul | Kanaat Lokantasi
I spent a few weeks in Istanbul, taking the ferries every day. No agenda, no plans, just taking random ferries to the Asia side of the Bosphorus. I’d wander the neighborhood, shoot the streets and people, settle down some place for lunch.
Kanaat Lokantas is a traditional Turkish restaurant, very classic fare and homey, hearty dishes. Sometimes, it is hard to find a restaurant like this many times, a place that serves real local food without the air of being conscious of nostalgia and without catering towards tourists or travelers.
This was such a place and it was one of the best meals I had during my extended stay.
I met these gorgeous ladies having lunch.
Then I left and continued on my way.
